built in 2009, established in 2021
Started by a group of like-minded hospitality veterans to create a luxury seaside retreat in Portugal that captures the heritage of the country. Carrapateira is a quiet town in the west coast of the Algarve that charmed us with its laid back feel and relaxed pace from our first travel through in 2018.
Being amongst such beautiful nature, the location allows you to immerse yourself in the simple life and recharge. Walking, exploring beaches, reading, cooking delicious local produce and picking up a bottle of natural Portuguese wine and heading to the cliff tops for magical sunsets are the things we love to do when retreating here.
THE CASA
A space to foster meaningful connections and explore ideas. A space to slow down and reconnect.
Natural and dappled light floods into the house, offering a sense of calm, space and comfort, making it the ideal space to gather with friends and family.
To highlight Casa Almargens inherent connection to the outdoors, natural and organic elements and materials were used to create the interiors and furnishings as leading design features with a sustainable and detailed approach. Working with local skilled makers while savouring Portuguese heritage was fundamental in our design process.
